- Graphic Design: Live Music Venue/Karaoke Bar
Hired to create and manage all graphic design and marketing for a new small business. - I was hired by Sumio Sone, the original owner of Planet Rose in the East Village and Atlantic City, to create the logo for his new venture, Rock & Rose. He gave me tags like glam, rock and roll, grunge, sex pistols, ransom letters to inspire the creation. After a few go-arounds this is what he chose for the logo of his new spot.He kept me on to research and acquire the "wall paper" of the venue which includes original vintage Rolling Stone and Interview Magazines that I found on ebay and craigslist. In keeping within the budget, myself and the whole staff applied the magazines right onto the walls with modge podge. The position turned into a branding experience from designing everything from the logo, menus, signage, marketing materials and website.
- Two versions of the logo that are in use for all print and web content.

- Below is the final design for the awning and a picture of the awning hanging above the entrance to the club.

- I created a loyalty program on the back of the business card for return customers. The DJ and the bartenders punch the each rose as a song is purchased for karaoke. When the customer reaches 10 songs they "Rock the Shot" or choose another free drink off the menu.
- The Cocktail Menu

- The food menu for Rock & Rose. The kitchen is named after the chef, Whiskey. I designed the menu for a 4.25" x 11 size because Whiskey wanted someone to hold it in one hand and read the menu like a list. I printed 2 per page. The printer cut them down and we had them laminated. They also insert into the cocktail menu above quite nicely.

- The Take Out Menu was designed to promote the kitchen though the business wanted to keep printing costs down. So I created a half page menu in black and white which met the objectives.

- Buttons used as give-a-ways at the bar...now on sale in the retail section of the venue.

- I designed the Rock & Rose website and provide all the graphics, copy and typography. The site was designed by me using a blank Flash templete. The design is me, the coding is not.
A sticker to place around midtown east- The following graphics were printed out as posters and hung inside the venue to promote events.
